A former graduate has donated $5000 to the Social Service Club of your school. You are asked to suggest which of the charities on pages 62-65 (textbook) to donate the money to. Suggest a charity and say why the club should donate the money to that particular charity.

I will donate the money to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to animal because I like the animal and I don't want to see the animal sick on the street so I donate the money to Prevention of Cruelty to animal I want this money can help the animal and want the animal not sick on the street.

I will donate the money to The Samaritans. It is because people live in Hong Kong having many pressures from the jobs, studies or families. Some people even committed suicide after broking up with the lover. When the economy turns down any people committed suicide because of the financial problems. The Samaritans can rescue the lives through talking with the people who want to commit suicide. The Samaritans teaches people to treasure their lives. I think the works of The Samaritans are very meaningful.

I will donate the money to Hong Kong Dog Resuce(HKDR).It is because
the dogs are very pitiful.And the desert owners are contemptible.Dogs have a life too.They also living thing.When owners don't want to keep the dogs continue or if they are get sick,and don't want to pay money to take them to a vet.People also will put them inside the boxes on the street,and then go away.So I want to donate the money to help them.Let Hong Kong Dog Rescue has enough money and resources to save the dogs.I think the money which I donate is meaningful.

Many disabled cannot work and make money by themselves, so they don't have enough money to spend. Some new immigrant children's parents who don't have time to take care of themselves. Those children and disabled people need money so I think we should donate money to them.

I will donate the money to SPCA.I will choose this because many dogs are desert in Hong Kong.Nobody will help them,they are very poor.They eat rubbish and drink dirty water.If they can't find a master,they will be die.I hope this $5000 can help them for buy some supplies.

I suggest to donate to the Samaritans
Many Hong Kong residents have lots of problems but they may not like to talk to their parents or friends. Cuz they may feel so embarrass and afraid the person who listen to them will give some bad advices.
But the volunteers of Samaritans won't judge, or give advice or opinions, they will just listen.
That's why I suggest the Samaritans.
